My name is Emily Hamilton. This is my 12th year teaching in Katy ISD. I graduated from Texas A&M-WHOOP! I believe children learn best when they feel safe to be their true self. I am looking forward to a great year! 

My name is Katie Black, and super excited to start my 12 year in education and my 6th year in Katy ISD. I love Pre-K! I am looking forward to an amazing school year at Shafer!

My name is Judith Weller. This is my 5th year at Shafer and 13th year in Education. I strive to fill my classroom with laughter, love, and learning, but I know that there may be tears along the way and that’s okay, we will share those moments too. I can not wait to get to know your child and grow their love for learning. 

My name is Maribel Taylor, and I am so excited for the new school year! This will be my 8th year in Katy ISD, and my 5th year in PK. I LOVE my job and being able to be a part of your sweet child’s learning journey.  I am looking forward to a year full of fun adventures with your little ones!

My name is Hannah Brassell, and I cannot wait to begin my 5th year of teaching Kindergarten at Shafer Elementary. I graduated from Sam Houston State University! (Eat Em Up Kats!). In my free time, I love shopping, spending time with family and friends, and crafting!  I also love watching and cheering on the Houston Astros! I am looking forward to a wonderful school year with my sweet students! 

My name is Kristie Hale and I am excited to begin my 28^th year of teaching.  This year will be my 10^th year at Shafer Elementary. FPSE is an amazing school, and I can't wait to meet our kindergarten students.  I look forward to a year filled with making memories and loving our school community.

Hi, my name is Marcie Payne.  I have been in education for 7 years.  This is my 3rd year teacher Kindergarten at Shafer. I have two children, our son attends college, and our daughter is in high school. I have been married for almost 20 years to my wonderful husband Tom.  We also have one furry friend named Scout.  I am looking forward to another fantastic year at Shafer.  

My name is Samantha Ross, and I cannot wait to begin my 10th year of teaching Kindergarten at Shafer Elementary. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Axe ‘Em Jacks! In my classroom, I strive to foster a love for reading while creating an environment where students feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. In my free time, I love reading, spending time with my family, and playing with my sweet dog, Bruce, and my cat Emily! I am looking forward to a wonderful school year with you and your sweet child!
