SNAP FOOD BENEFITS
Starting in March, SNAP recipients will see a decrease in the amount of their household’s SNAP benefits due to federal guidelines. This change cannot be appealed.
Because of the public health emergency, SNAP recipients have been receiving additional benefits each month since April 2020. The additional amount was based on the maximum allowable amount of SNAP benefits based on family size or at least $95. Due to federal guidelines, recipients will no longer receive additional benefits starting March 2023.
To find out what your monthly benefit amount will be without the SNAP emergency allotment, log in to your account on YourTexasBenefits.com or the mobile app and go to Case Details, or call 2-1-1 and, select option 9 after selecting a language. You do not need to speak to an agent.
