TEA⁺CHer Internship 

Candidates admitted into the Katy ISD TEA⁺CH Alternative Certification Program are guaranteed a job at a premier Katy ISD campus as a first-year teacher. This period in the classroom is referred to as an internship, which is a paid teaching assignment for one full school year which, when successful, will lead to a standard teaching certificate. Candidates will use TalentEd to apply for positions of interest by typing ACP into the search bar. Highlights of the Teacher Internship will include:

• Full school year

• Katy ISD premier campus

• First year teacher pay

• Option for benefits

• Implement strategies and practices learned through coursework

• Guidance of a Field Supervisor, Mentor Teacher, and Campus Administrators

• At least 5 formal observations by the Field Supervisor

• Katy ISD professional learning opportunities
