Meet Your Counselor

Hello, and welcome! My name is NeNeshelia Adams, and I am proud to serve as the school counselor at Mayde Creek Elementary. Since beginning my career in education in 2008, I’ve been passionate about creating a welcoming environment where every student feels heard and valued. I also strive to be a supportive resource for all staff, students, families, and our community.

I am a proud alumna of Prairie View A&M University, where I gained the foundation for my work as an educator. I am also honored to be a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., which has instilled in me a commitment to service and lifelong learning.

For 13 years, I had the privilege of teaching at Shotwell Academy in Aldine ISD, where I also led the dance team as its director for over five years. This role allowed me to mentor young women, fostering their confidence, creativity, and personal growth. My counseling journey began at Mayde Creek Elementary in Katy ISD, and I also taught at the Alternative Learning Center in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD for two years, continuing my mission to inspire and empower students.

Outside of work, I am a dedicated mom to my energetic 5-year-old son, who brings endless joy and inspiration to my life. I also have a deep love for music and am currently teaching myself to play the guitar, embracing the joy of learning and personal growth.

I am excited to work together to ensure a positive, supportive, and successful experience for all our students and families!
