      Learn about the traits of gifted learners and the gifted and talented screening process for Katy ISD.

       

      Gifted and Talented Screening Windows Open Since Aug. 9th

      Parents may request screening for the Gifted and Talented Program for their students by submitting a Parent Checklist by the published deadlines. Late submissions not accepted.

      Due Dates:

      5th Grade September 4, 2024 - now closed

      Kindergarten September 19, 2024

      Grades 6-12 October 4, 2024

      Grades 1-4 October 25, 2024

      The checklist may be accessed on My Katy.

      Parents will need to enter their parent username and password provided at enrollment. Once signed in, parents should select the Gifted and Talented icon, and they will see available checklists they can submit for any of their children.

      Having Trouble Submitting a Checklist? Try this:
      • Clear your cache.
      • Make sure you are viewing your My Katy parent screen (grey background) - not your student's or your employee's screen if you work for KISD (red background).
      • The system may request parent username and password / pin more than once. Just enter the same information again.
      • Try using an incognito window.
      • Reset your Chrome browser.
