Attendance

If your child is not coming to school, please call the number (281) 237-2005 to report their absence before 9:15 AM or use the Online Absence Report Form on the school website.  You can also send a parent's note or doctor's note with the student upon their return or fax them to Attendance: Crystal Martinez, at (281) 644-1580.   

Tardies

Students should be in their homerooms by 7:50 a.m.  If your child is tardy, please escort them into the building and advise the front office of the reason for the tardiness so that the reason can be documented. Please state the reason or provide documentation for the tardy so that the attendance clerk can accurately note it.  Unexcused tardies will affect your student's qualifications for the Exemplary Attendance Award. If your child arrives after 9:15 AM without an excused reason, they will be marked absent for the rest of the day.

Picking up your Child Early

If you are picking up your child early from school, this must be done by a parent/guardian or emergency contact before 2:20 each day. If you are taking your child to a doctor's appointment, please remember to ask for a doctor's note so that their time away from school is excused.  Also, if anyone other than a parent/guardian or an emergency contact is picking up a student, we must have written documentation by email with a picture of the guardian's ID, ahead of time, giving us permission to release your child.  If your child is picked up before 9:15 for personal reasons, they will be marked absent for the rest of the day.  

Withdrawals

If you are planning on withdrawing a student from PME, please notify the registrar at least 24 hours ahead of time with the date of the student's last day of attendance. That will allow the registrar to get your withdrawal paperwork together and be available for pick-up. Please plan on picking up the paperwork on your child's last day of school here. In addition to needing your signature on the paperwork, you should also provide this copy to your child's new school.
