January 16, 2025 @ Leonard Merrell Center: Katy ISD Presents Moving Up to Junior High or High School
Parents are invited to attend a night of education regarding valuable information on supporting the transition to Junior High and High School as well as the course selection presented by Katy ISD Academic Counseling in conjunction with Katy ISD Social Workers.  The Junior High presentation is from 6:00-7:00pm, High School is from 7:00-8:00pm.  For more information please click on the Moving Up to Junior High or High School flier.

KAP

For more information regarding KAP classes in Jr. High visit the Katy ISD website. 

On the right side of the page, click Parent Resources.  You will find the KAP Parent Presentation in English and Spanish, as well as a video recording of the presentation. If you are unsure if your child should take KAP or Academic, please contact your child's teacher.

Pre-Athletics PE at Adams Jr. High

Adams Jr. High does not have a Pre-Athletic class, however they offer Pre-Athletics to all students within the PE class.  In their PE class, the coaches will ask which students would like to participate in Pre-Athletics.  They have them move to one side of the gym and all the other students are on the other side.  Each day when the students attend PE the coach have different activities planned for the PE group and the Pre-Athletic group. On your child's course selection, you will select 6th Girls PE or 6th Boys PE.

Off Campus PE

Off Campus PE is an option available for students who participate in an approved individual sport outside of school hours during the week.  Qualifying Information can be found on the Katy ISD website under the Department of Health and Physical Education.

Adams JH will accept applications in August, applications will not be accepted before then.
