Welcome StingRAEs!! My name is Lauren Rice, and this is my fourth year as the school counselor at Alexander Elementary. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Sam Houston State University in addition to a Graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling from the University of Houston-Victoria.

My husband and I have two sweet baby girls (2 and 3 years old) and absolutely love watching them grow and explore. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, and cooking. My husband and I love to travel, explore the outdoors, and have lazy weekends with our family.

I am incredibly passionate about the emotional, social and behavioral success of all students, and believe that the key to success is building relationships with the students, families, and staff. My goal is to support the students with all of their needs and to provide a safe place for them to go if any issues or concerns arise. I cannot wait to see what the 2023-2024 school year has in store! I look forward to getting to know all of the students, families, and staff.​​
