Parent Resources

  • Home Access Center

The Home Access Center provides an online grade book where parents and guardians can view helpful student information to support and guide their children through the educational process. From home or work, at any time of the day or night, parents can access the Web portal to track academic achievement. E-mail links are also available throughout the portal, so parents can communicate with the school and teachers.

    Student Registration Information

Please go to the Katy ISD website; click on the parent link; scroll to > online pre-enrollment > and start the enrollment process.  There is also a link on the Alexander webpage.

When you register, we will need the following documentation:

    • The pre-enrollment form is printed from your online enrollment.

    • Student's birth certificate or passport.

    • Current immunization record.

    • Proof of Residence (water, gas or electric bill only; or closing documents on your home). We cannot use cell phone bills, insurance documents, cable bills, etc. as Proof of Residence.  Only those 3 major utilities mentioned are acceptable.

    • Parent driver's license.

    • A social security card is optional.

We cannot place your child in a class without the above documentation.

    Change of Transportation

In order to help our teachers and staff send your child home the correct way each day, please send a copy of this change of transportation form with your child in the event that a transportation change is needed.

    Dyslexia

For more information on how to identify dyslexia, please click here.

    Lunch Room Visitation

Lunch room visitation will be allowed for:

    • Adults who are listed as PARENTS or GUARDIANS in the child's record; and
    • Adults who have a signed note from a PARENT or GUARDIAN that gives them permission to eat lunch with that child specifically on that day.

Please remember we are a large campus with a lot of children and families. Our space in the cafeteria is limited. Please choose the times you decide to eat with your child sparingly. If the cafeteria begins to have problems with seating space, we will have to put more restrictions on our lunch room visitation.

    Digital Learning

The Digital Learning area encompasses the Library Media Center, which assists the librarians with online instructional resources and information literacy. Libraries are the hub of the school and provide many resources. As KISD moves more content online, it is ever more important that the focus is on information literacy. Digital responsibility and cyber safety are two key areas for the Digital Learning group. Ensuring students understand and are provided with curriculum to make a positive digital social contribution is important to Katy ISD.
