McElwain Elementary Library is a wonderful place to be! I have the privilege and joy of being your librarian. This is my 20th year in education and my 3rd year as a librarian. My favorite thing about being a librarian is that I can spend time with each and every student at PMCE. I get the joy of helping students find the perfect book, learn and investigate and become advocates for their own learning. 

When I am not at PMCE you can find me hanging out with family, reading books and playing with my pets. I love to travel, read books, watch movies and spend time with wonderful people. 

Favorite Books: I love books and rarely find a book I don't enjoy for one reason or another. However, some of my favorite books for kids have been The Tiger Rising by Kate DiCamillo; Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling; Drawn Together by Minh Le; and Owling : Enter the world of the mysterious birds of the night by Mark Wilson. 

I became the library aide at Peter McElwain Elementary school the year we opened! I have three wonderful daughters who attend KatyISD and an amazing husband who's the music minister at our church. When I'm not hanging out with my family or my silly dog, Axel Rose, I am finding ways to read more books and help others. Reading and helping others are just two of my many joys and I get to do both here in the owl library.
