Hello!  I have been a school librarian for 20 years.  I spent 4 years at Franz Elementary, 6 years at Cardiff JH, and this is my 10th year at Cinco Ranch JH.  Before I was a librarian, I taught 1st grade at Golbow Elementary and 2nd grade at Beasley Elementary in LCISD.  I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1999 with a BA in Psychology and my teaching certificate.  While I was teaching, I attended Sam Houston State University and completed my Masters in Library Science in August, 2003.

I became a librarian because I love to read.  I have been an avid reader my whole life.  I was the kid who got in trouble for reading when I was supposed to be doing something else.  I hope to pass that love along to the students and teachers at CRJH.

Howdy! This is my 15^th year in public education. I started teaching History and English in Cyfair, and in 2013 moved on over to Cinco Ranch Junior High. I started out teaching English in 6^th and 7^th grade, and then switched over to World Cultures in 2020. Last year I took a break from the classroom and worked as the Attendance clerk for our campus. This year I will be helping our wonderful Librarian, Ms. Poncik, as her Library aide. Junior High is my favorite age group by far and I look forward to seeing you in the Library!

I have two kiddos, Max who is going into 3^rd grade  and Leigh Ann who be starting 1^st grade this year.

I received my Bachelors degree at Texas State University in 2008, and my Masters from Lamar University in 2011.
