Academic Eligibility & Grades

  • Incomplete Grades

An “I” will be assigned for an incomplete grade.  Students will be responsible for turning in make-up work to the teacher on the agreed date.  If work is not completed, the grade becomes a zero and an average will be calculated based on a zero being assigned for the missed work. Students are responsible for work missed.

    Academic Dishonesty

There will be parent contact for EACH cheating offense.

Cheating is defined by the Katy ISD Discipline Management Plan and Student Code of Conduct. For clarification, the school-wide cheating policy is as follows:

    • First Offense – The student will receive an “N” in conduct and a two-hour detention, and counseling from the teacher and/or administrator about the seriousness of the offenses.  Students cheating on a test will retest for a maximum grade of 70.

    • Second Offense – The student will receive a ZERO on the assignment and a “U” in conduct, a two-hour Saturday detention, and could be excluded from representing the school in extracurricular activities.

    • Third Offense – The student will receive a ZERO on the paper, a “U” in conduct, a four- hour Saturday detention and will not be allowed to represent the school in any extracurricular activities. A third offense will also result in removal from leadership positions.
