Welcome Parents!

Please read the information on this page carefully and follow the instructions for each scenario:

Attendance

If your child is absent from school, please call the main number to report their absence before 4:00 pm.  You can also send a parent's note or doctor's note your student upon their return or fax them to Attention: Katy Zubia, at 281-644-1530. 

Tardies

Students should be in their homerooms by 7:50 a.m.  If your child is tardy, please escort them into the building and advise the front office of the reason for the tardy so it can be documented. Unless you provide a  note that morning or your student rides a school bus that is late, there are no excused tardies. Unexcused tardies will affect your student's qualifications for the Exemplary Attendance Award.

Picking up your Child Early

If you are picking up your child early from school, this must be done by the parent before 2:40 pm. If you are taking your child to a doctor's appointment, please remember to ask for a doctor's note so that their time away from school is excused. Also remember that if anyone other than a parent or guardian is picking up a student, we must have written documentation ahead of time giving us permission to release your child.  Please provide a doctor or dentist's excuse upon your child's return.

Withdrawals

If you are planning on withdrawing a student from Hutsell Elementary, please notify the Registrar at least 24 hours ahead of time with the date of the student's last day of attendance. That will allow time to prepare withdrawal paperwork and clear all student's accounts from school. The withdrawal paperwork will be ready on your child's last day of school. In addition to needing your signature on the paperwork, you should also provide this copy to your child's new school.
