Meet the WCE Counselors

Ivy Salinas, Lead Counselor

This is my 4^th year in KatyISD and 10^th year as a school counselor. I have a Master's in School Psychology and have worked my entire educational career at the elementary school level.  I love what I do and take pride in having the opportunity to grow our future by working with children. I strive to be a beacon of light that guides students in a positive direction by fostering strong character traits and values.  I have been married for 25 years and have 5 children of my own. In my free time I enjoy traveling with my family, reading, watching movies, and caring for my many pets. 

Alejandra Vargas, Counselor

My name is Alejandra Vargas, and I am excited to serve as your school counselor. This is my tenth year in Katy ISD, and my first year as a school counselor. I have a passion for supporting students' emotional, social, and academic growth, and I'm dedicated to creating a positive and inclusive environment for all. I look forward to working with students, families, and staff to ensure every child thrives.
