Meet the Counselor

Hello Rhino Families!

My name is Cristina Figueredo, and I am the school counselor at Rylander Elementary. This is my 15th year in education and my 5th year as a Rockin' Rhino. I am passionate about the social, emotional, and behavioral success of all students and I look forward to continuing to build strong relationships with my students and their families. 

Prior to my current role, I was a bilingual teacher for eight years. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Sam Houston State University and a Master's degree in School Counseling from Houston Christian University. 

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and making memories with my husband and our two children.
