I opened Griffin Elementary in 2006! I had the joy of entering a building with nothing on the shelves, knowing I had the great privilege of filling them up! I easily have the very best job in the school. Books and kids! I mean, how do you get better than that?! To make my job even more special, my granddaughter, Elizabeth, is a Griffin Grizzly. The "best job ever"!

Librarian Aide, Elisa Mahone, is a former PTA member and parent of three girls. When her younger girls were at Griffin, Mrs. Mahone volunteered in the library for many years. With the infamous "Miss Janie" as her mentor, the transition into the role seemed a natural segue. Mrs. Mahone's Graphic Design degree is put to good use through library communications.
