Hello!

I have been a Katy ISD school librarian for 5 years in elementary and this year I am excited to try junior high! I have been in education for 28 years. I received my Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Houston and my Masters in Library Science at Sam Houston.  My goal is to instill the love of reading in students and helping them become life-long readers and learners.

My husband and I have two college-aged sons and three dogs.  We love traveling, gardening, and cooking together.  I enjoy reading in my downtime, as well as hiking.  

I look forward to being your student's librarian this year!  

I joined the Beckendorff staff last year as Library Clerk.   I have worked as a special collections librarian and archivist in the past and now enjoy being on the same schedule as my two children in Katy ISD.  We enjoy traveling, camping, and spoiling our cat.
