Meet Your Counselor

    Hi There Bulldogs! 

    My name is Lauren Hassig, and I am the school counselor at SERE!  I was born and raised in Northeast Texas in the small town of Atlanta.  I attended Texas State University for my Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, and The University of Saint Thomas for my Masters in School Counseling.  I have been in education for 14 years, and a counselor for 2 of those years.  My husband, Chris, is a Commander with HPD.  We have 3 children: Henrik (12), Hazel (7), and Griffin(5).  We have 2 fluffy dogs and 2 cats!  In my free time, I love to shop, garden, read, create, play guitar, and spend time with my family. 

    As your elementary school counselor, my primary focus is to develop partnerships with students, parents, educators, and members of the community to support student success. I am committed to preparing students to become productive and responsible citizens.  Please reach out if I can offer guidance, encouragement, or assistance as we begin this adventure together!

  • At Robertson Elementary School, the counselor works with students individually, in groups and in guidance to support the personal, social and academic growth of all students. The counselor works in collaboration with the SERE Leadership team to develop programs that benefit all students, and support families including parent education, consultation and resources. This program is committed to preparing students to become productive and responsible citizens.
