PTA

  • The Parent Teacher Association, or PTA, is the oldest and largest child advocacy group with over 4 million members nationwide who are committed to improving the educational success of all children and the promotion of parent involvement in schools.  PTA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit association that prides itself on being a powerful voice for all children, a resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for public education.  Membership in PTA is open to anyone who wants to be involved and make a difference to the education, health and welfare of children and young people.  

    The Michael L. Griffin Elementary PTA, or MGE PTA, is a local chapter of the Texas PTA  and is a part of the largest Council in Texas, the Katy Council of PTAs, that had 27,972 members last year. One member for every child at MGE, A VOICE FOR EVERY CHILD.
