Communication to Parents About STAAR

Federal and state laws require that all eligible STAAR test takers be provided with an opportunity to test. To ensure equity for all students, Katy ISD will administer the 2024 state assessments to all students, at the campus of attendance. All testing students should arrive at their campus by the start of the school day no later than 8:30 a.m.

STAAR Testing Days

6^th Grade Reading STAAR is on April 11^th
6^th Grade Math STAAR is on April 24^th
7^th Grade Reading STAAR is on April 10^th
7^th Grade Math STAAR is on April 23^rd

Algebra EOC is on April 23^rd
8^th Reading STAAR is on April 9^th
8^th Science STAAR is on April 17^th
8^th Social Studies STAAR is on April 18^th
8^th Math STAAR is on Tuesday April 25^th

Cardiff Junior High will be a Closed Campus on all STAAR Testing days.

STAAR Makeup Testing Days

Reading STAAR Makeup is on April 16^th
8^th grade Science STAAR Makeup is on April 19th
8^th grade Social Studies STAAR Makeup is on April 24^th
Math STAAR Makeup is on May 1st
