HCC Dual Credit

  • SUMMER 2024

    The deadline to apply for HCC dual credit summer was... March 1st, 2024. 

    FALL 2024/SPRING 2025 

    The deadline to complete the “Apply Texas” application is Friday, March 8th, 2024, for the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 courses.

    All paperwork for the Fall of 2024/Spring 2025 semester will be due via the Google form and upload link provided in the “Instructions & Resources” below by 3 pm on Friday, March 22nd.  No late paperwork will be accepted.

    Dual credit courses available (with HCC course numbers) for the Fall 2024/Spring 2025 are as follows:

    • English 3 (ENGL 1301/1302) (Fall/Spring)
    • English 4 (ENGL 1301/1302) (Fall/Spring)
    • English 4 – (ENGL BRITISH LITERATURE 2322/2323) (Fall/Spring)
      • Must have taken dual credit English 3 as an 11th-grade student with a passing grade.
    • US History - 1301/1302 (Fall/Spring)
    • US Government – (GOVT 2305) (Fall/Spring)
    • Economics – (ECON 2301) (Fall/Spring)
    • Spanish 4 – (SPAN 2311/2312) (Fall/Spring)

     

    Students New to Dual Credit -  (have never applied through Apply Texas for HCC) CLICK HERE  for 2024-2025 Dual Credit instructions and enrollment resources.

    • Step 1 - Apply Texas
    • Step 2 - Determine if TSI is needed.
    • Step 3- Access DC Forms
    • Step 4 - Submit DC Forms - Use course numbers above that apply to the course you are taking to copy and paste in your forms.
    • Sign-up for "Remind" by texting @THSDualCr to the #81010

    If you are a Returning Dual Credit Student, (you have a current HCC ID #  are taking a course this year) CLICK HERE for "2024-2025 Dual Credit Instructions".

    • Step 1 - Complete "Google Registration Document"
    • Step 2 - Sign-up for "Remind" by texting @THSDualCr to the #81010

     

    TSI TESTING UPDATE! 

    STUDENTS/PARENTS - If you were told that you need TSI and you have not registered for the test yet, do not use the information in the paperwork in the above, "HERE", links.  Those dates have all been filled, or they are only for current seniors. 

    Email Tiffany Mitchell at tiffanyymitchell@katyisd.org, or Kathy Howard at katherinemhoward@katyisd.org  your name, student ID # and the courses you are taking, if TSI is still needed and we will have to request through HCC for the TSI.  This can take several days to complete, please don't wait.  Testing must be completed by 4/2/2024 and have a passing score in order to take dual credit course/s.
